How Get Accredited

ITAA sincerely desires that those who are considering accreditation with us are in agreement of our foundational Christian beliefs as cited under the tab, “What We Believe” on our website.

After affirming the above, the next step in the accreditation process is conveying your interest by contacting an ITAA staff member. The most expedient way to reach us is via email at info@joinitaa.com

We offer two levels of accreditation which require a detailed on-site evaluation. The evaluation process validates that the curriculum meets academic standards recognized as providing the knowledge and preparation for the graduate to perform in their chosen field of ministry at a competent level. To receive accreditation the institution must meet standards at the highest levels of certification in curriculum, faculty and administration. In addition, the faculty of the institution must have achieved valid earned degrees(s) at the level in which they are teaching. Our accreditation not only affords the institution of having met high standards of academic achievement, but also assures potential students that they can be confident in the education they will receive from an ITAA certified institution.

LEVELS OF ACCREDITATION:

1. Associate Membership

Associate Membership is designed to provide reputable and legitimate accreditation to those institutions providing both undergraduate and graduate studies, leading to Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees. An associate member is one who has been accepted as an associate pending receipt and review of all required information, including the completion of a site
visit.

2. Certified Membership

Certified Membership is designed to provide reputable and legitimate accreditation to those institutions providing both undergraduate and graduate studies, leading to Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees. A certified member is one who has provided the necessary information as well as completed a site visit, and has met and/or exceeded all requirements for accreditation.

We maintain the following expectations for Associate and Certified Members:

  • Associate Membership and Certified Membership are different recognitions.
  • An Associate Membership is awarded once an institution has completed the appropriate paperwork and from our due diligence has the structure in place to be able to give the quality education we require to have our stamp of approval.
  • Certified Membership includes a lengthy and detailed process that can take from a few months to two years or longer. Our accreditation process requires a site visit for all applicants. We normally visit multiple colleges at one time in the same area. This ensures that we are able to keep the site visit cost affordable for all institutions. Alternate arrangements are made in the event a college is willing and financially able to complete the site visit individually.

We realize that the budget of some institutions may not provide the initial funds and therefore we are receptive to negotiating an arrangement that will make it possible for those institutions to achieve accreditation with us.
